The Colorado Springs Police Department is looking for an insurance fraud suspect named Gerald Michael Gonzalez.
Police say Gonzalez collected his dead father’s workers compensation checks for ten months. Gonzalez would the checks by ATM into his father’s bank account and later withdrew the sum as cash. He is accused of stealing a total of $3,023.50.
Police say he denied the allegations, but was caught on surveillance cameras in the act.
Gonzalez is a Hispanic male 5’11”, 205 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he has a violent past that includes arrests for robbery, menacing and weapons violations.
Police are asking for help finding Gonzalez. Anyone with information should call 634-STOP.
