Colorado Springs police are investigating a report that a teenager was the victim of a strong-arm robbery just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The 17-year-old managed to escape from the robbers by exiting their moving vehicle, according to police.
Injured slightly on the hand, he went to get help at a nearby Conoco gas station located on Nevada Ave., near Cache La Poudre, north of downtown Colorado Springs.
Police say the victim described being approached by a car occupied by two black men in their 30s.
The teen, who was on his bike at the time, was ordered or forced to get into the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle, police say the robbers flashed a weapon at the teen and ordered him to hand over his cash and valuables.
According to police, the teenager gave the men his iPod and $30 in cash. While the robbers were leaving the downtown area, the 17-year-old made his escape.
Police are on the lookout for a light blue newer-model four-door sedan. They are still working with the victim to create a more detailed description of the robbers.
