Thanks to a tip, police have found a Rent-A-Center box truck that was stolen Tuesday night while an employee was unloading the merchandise inside. The search for the suspect, however, continues.

According to CSPD, an employee was unloading the truck at the Rent-A-Center location on 3827 E. Pikes Peak Ave. While the employee was inside the bed of the truck, an unknown man jumped into the driver's seat and put the truck in gear.

The Rent-A-Center employee managed to escape before the vehicle sped off, jumping out as the vehicle began to pull away.

Police believe the 2009 Chevrolet Express 3500 box truck contained a television, washing machine and a couch. Thanks to a tip, the truck was found Wednesday morning in a field near the 4100 block of Park Village Grove. Police haven't divulged whether the merchandise was still inside.

The search is continuing for the suspect, who is described as a Caucasian or Asian male between 18 and 22 years of age. He may be wearing a blue shirt and an Los Angeles Dodgers cap.

Anyone who has information about the suspect is asked to call police at 719-444-7000. Alternatively, anyone who would like to remain anonymous can text a tip to 847411 by typing “CSPD” and your tip.

Rent-A-Center is a horrible place that preys on a bunch of poor dopes. I hope they never find any of their missing stuff.

Wow, going from a local crime bulletin to slamming the Prez. I think Obama is terrible as well (worst CIC ever?), but this is totally unrelated; might want to wait for a story that's relevant and pick your battles more wisely.

I don't know what Obama deserves, but you could certainly use a brain. Preferably one with more than a single track.

When you exit your vehicle you are suppose to take the key with you. That is vehicle class 101. That driver should be fired.
