Pueblo police say a man tried to kidnap two 10-year-old girls Friday afternoon.
Police say the girls were walking near Portland Park when a Hispanic man parked his truck across the street and yelled at them to get inside. The girls ran away and he chased after them.
The girls were able to get to a convenience store before he could catch them. That's when police were called.
The suspect has been described as a Hispanic man with a thin build, sporting a dark brown mustache and goatee with gray mixed in. His long brown and gray hair was pulled back into a ponytail, white baseball cap with a letter "A" worn backwards over it. He reportedly has a blue hummingbird tattooed to his upper right arm. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt under a long-sleeved button up shirt, sleeves rolled up to his biceps.
The suspect vehicle is described as a 80s or 90s model truck. It's possibly blue or teal in color and could be a Ford F-150. It had a gray or silver strip along the side. The bed of the truck had a wooden rack and black trash bags. There was also a possible "gunny sack" in the cab.
If you have any information about the man, call Pueblo police at 719-553-2502 or call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.
