Demanding lottery tickets and money, two armed suspects robbed an east Springs convenience store late Saturday night.

Police are now searching for the suspects.

The man and woman involved reportedly walked into the 7-Eleven on 6025 Constitution in Colorado Springs just after 11:30 p.m., each carrying a gun, and left the store on foot after getting what they came for. Police dogs were able to trace their scent up to a nearby parking lot, then the search fizzled.

The male suspect is described as a 22-23 year old black male, 5-foot-10 and 140 pounds, sporting a beard. He was reportedly wearing dark clothing and a black stocking cap, his face partially concealed by sunglasses.

The female suspect is believed to be about 19, 5 feet tall and 140 pounds. She was also dressed in dark clothing and wearing sunglasses.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
