The man involved in a hold up at a Springs convenience store could still be out there.

The 7-Eleven on the 2500 block of Hancock Expressway was robbed just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect pulled out a handgun and ordered the clerk to hand over money and merchandise. After he got what he wanted, he left the scene, getting away before police arrived.

The suspect has been described as a 5-foot-5 white male in his mid-50s. He was wearing a gray sleeveless Nike shirt, black jeans and black sunglasses.

Springs police confirm that based on the similarity of the description, they are investigating whether there is a connection with Frank Goad, who is wanted for shooting at officers Tuesday. Click here to read story. Goad was arrested Thursday night in Manitou Springs.
