Tim was a great guy, and I miss him. I know that if I went first, he'd have been at my funeral too. I'm pretty sure that none of the men in custody actually pulled the trigger on him, but it was a person he was with that accidently did. Tim lived for hours after his injury, and I believe maybe if the person who shot him would have called an ambulance immediatly and not ran to hide or call his girl to pick him up...then Tim would have had a better chance of surviving. We buried Tim, all his friends were there. We visit his resting place on his birthday, and he knows it.

I know first hand that one of the accused has been in and out of trouble since his teenage years and has been jailed before for in another state. He also has a warrant out for him in another state but of course he has not been caught for years. He hides out like a coward in different states and is never caught. He has been a thief for years and has done horrible things to innocent people. I am not shocked that this individual was involved in this horrible crime and hopefully justice will be served in the long run. This was an awful crime fueled by greed and cowards. Hopefully the justice system will realize the kind of people they have in custody and finally justice will be served.

What is the subject of the comments? Is that people do not anything better else to do or what? Myself I do, like watching my sister bury her oldest son from this senseless crime. By the way Timothy Roath is my nephew in which I am very proud of. As far as guns being the problem, I don't think so. I am all for our Second Amendment Right, Barring Arms. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. How often have you heard of a licensed gun carrier kill someone, unless their life is in danger. I have only read a few of the comments and don't want to read any further. I don't have to defend Tim because he is a good kid and he is the one that is the victim and I don't know where you come from, police don't arrested unless there is a reason. I am not looking for a debate. I am just trying to make sure Tims name is not ran throw the dirt. But if someone feels the need to, so be it.

Tim was one of the best friends I ever had in highschool and now I'll never see him again thanks to these guys. I feel like I've lost a part of myself, because he was a big part of my awkward teenage years. Tim was a very friendly and approachable guy, but when those other kinds of kids try to mess with us, he didn't stand for it. I can see why these guys might be inclined to shoot him if was some sort of threat, he was a strong person and these people could think of nothing else to do but reach for their real life cheat -- the gun. Tim was a great friend, an inspiration to me, and after I knew him he went on to serve two courageous tours in Iraq. To come back and be shot by a lowly thug who thinks he has the right to take another life over something as meager as some pot. When will we learn? This reinforces my distaste for guns and I will never have one in my home.
