Police Investigating Late-Night Stabbing

Police are investigating a late-night break in at The Heritage Apartments on North Murray Boulevard in Colorado Springs. One man was stabbed.

The man told police he was apartment sitting for a friend. Shortly before 11 p.m. Friday night a man and a woman reportedly began knocking loudly on the door. The man inside refused, and the man and woman left. 20 minutes later the man said they came back and broke down the apartment door. The man inside told police he fought with the intruders, and was stabbed during the fight. He was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Police say the man did not know the man and woman who reportedly broke in by name, but believed they are friends of the person who lives in the apartment. They stole some stereo equipment and left in a large, dark colored sedan, where two other people were waiting.

The suspects are described as a Hispanic male, 6' 3, 165-170 lbs. The female was 5'3 160-170 lbs.

Police say they are still investigating the incident.
