Sex Offender Sweep Starts In El Paso County

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is participating in Operation Shepherd 2010 this weekend, aiming to arrest the top 10 most wanted sex offenders in Colorado.

Operation Shepherd 2010 is a collaboration of over 80 state, local and federal agencies throughout Colorado who have joined forces to conduct the largest sex offender fugitive operation in the state. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will have four teams of two detectives working June 11 through June 13.

A complete list of Colorado’s “Most Wanted” Top 100 Sex Offenders is available to the public through the Web sites below.

If anyone has any information on anyone listed on the Top 100 is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 719-390-5555 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 719-634-7867 (STOP).
