Colorado Springs Police are investigating a home invasion that happened early Friday morning on Parker Street, southwest of Fillmore and I-25.

Police say a man went into the home and went upstairs, where the homeowners were sleeping. When they woke up, he showed a gun and told them he had the wrong house.

The man left, and no one was hurt.

The homeowners say the man was white, about 5'5" tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing an olive colored jacket and blue jeans. If you have any information in this case, please call police or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

Hey KRIS, You must be the biggest airheaded moron in the Springs. No where in the article did it suggest you give up your gun. Only a airheaded thug like you would think like that anyway.

Hey N.R.A., Maybe we should be afraid of you as well. You act like a the end of a gun the answer to all you problems and concerns. I hope you know a lot of people have died by the use of their own guns. I truly hope you are not a thug or a ganster.

Hi Dixie, Have read through the comments and found that no one posting referenced the perp's race at all. Are you referring to "hunker down?' That's an old-time expression which simply means look out, be aware, batten the hatches and prepare for rough seas. Nothing racial about it. Don't read nefarious intent where none exists. Also, lock your doors. Don't open 'em to persons unknown to you. Have a good weekend. And, again, lock your doors!

Gun isn't going to do you any good if you don't lock your doors or windows. No matter where you live, lock up people!

Hey Walsh most stoners, I don't think, go break into people's homes with guns looking to rob them. Of course they're usually stoned so I could see some maybe doing something idiotic but not that.. and ME if that is your address I seriously hope no stupid kids that read your comment come breaking into your house while you're not there to steal your guns! It happened to a friend of mine so don't think it won't happen to you. You can't shoot them if you're not home.
