Police in Pueblo need your help to catch a crook who targeted an 80-year-old woman in a Safeway parking lot.

Investigators say the robbery happened Wednesday, January 20, at the Safeway store located at 1322 E. 8th Street in Pueblo

The victim told cops that a heavy-set, bald, Hispanic man in black pants and a black shirt followed her from inside the store into the parking lot. As she was preparing to load her groceries into her vehicle, the man apparently approached her, asking to use her cell phone. As she was telling him "no" the male grabbed her wallet from inside the shopping cart and ran off.

The suspect was able to get away in an older-model black Chevy truck that was waiting in the area with another Hispanic man inside. The truck did not have license plates on it. The victim lost several pieces of personal ID as well as credit cards and a checkbook

Safeway has released two surveillance pictures of the suspect. You can see those by clicking on the photos tab at the top of this story.

Colorado Make My Day Law is real. I'm legally packing and it's time we protect our neighbor's. Charges can't be filed if there is a resonable fear of death or severe injury and maybe you can end some bad guys. It's time they feared ALL of us not just the cops.
