Pueblo Community Notified About Sexually Violent Predator

Wednesday, Pueblo police notified the community about a SVP that is being released into their area.

During a meeting, authorities told the public that 24-year-old Emmanuel Bitsuie will now be residing on East Evans Avenue in Pueblo.

Bitsuie was convicted of attempted first degree sexual assault an adult female. He'll be serving three years of parole as part of his release.

Authorities say there are currently 502 sex offenders registered in the city of Pueblo, and 10, 937 registered in Colorado.

Police also issued this statement during Wednesday night's meeting:

The purpose of this notification is to enhance public safety and protection. Vigilantism, or use of this information to harass, threaten, or intimidate any of the following people is criminal behavior and will not be tolerated: The offender, the offender's significant others, and the community notification team.
