Big Bear Conoco Robbed at Gunpoint in the Springs

Police are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery that happened at a gas station in Colorado Springs Tuesday evening.

Authorities say around 6:25 p.m. a white man in his early twenties walked into the Big Bear Conoco on S. Tejon just south of the I-25 exit.

Witnesses say the man threatened them with a handgun to get an unknown amount of cash. He made his getaway in a white SUV, last seen northbound on Tejon. Police and K-9 units attempted to track the suspect but were not successful.

No on was injured in the robbery. The suspect was last seen wearing jeans, a black ski mask, a Carhartt jacket and white shoes.

    Colorado Make My Day Law is real. I'm legally packing and it's time we protect our neighbor's. Charges can't be filed if there is a reasonable fear of death or severe injury and maybe you can end some bad guys. It's time they feared ALL of us not just the cops.

    What is wrong with this crime ridden city? Lived here 2 months and the crime is amazing.
