A suspected heroin dealer is now facing charges in Colorado Springs. Police found him and a possible customer allegedly making a deal Sunday. Police say the bust was thanks to a tip from a concerned citizen.
The drug bust happened around 11:15 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot on South Academy, just north of Airport Rd.
Cops say based on the citizen's tip, they were able to identify the suspected drug dealer's car. After gaining consent to search it, authorities say they found 60 pre-packaged balloons of heroin.
The suspected dealer has been identified as Carlos Castenada. An alleged customer of Castenada was in the car at the time of the bust, and also arrested, for allegedly trying to buy three of the heroin-filled balloons. The suspected customer has been identified as Sandra Lewis.
Police have not released yet the exact charges these suspects will face.
