Police in Colorado Springs say there could be a link among three different robberies that happened within a 24 hour period. The three locations are also within blocks of one another.

The first robbery happened on Saturday night at Best Checks Cashed located at 3849 E Pikes Peak Ave. That's near East Pikes Peak Ave and North Academy Blvd. There, police say two men walked in and demanded cash. One of the suspects had a hand gun and fired one shot into the bullet proof glass. No one was hurt and the robbers didn't get away with anything there.

The second robbery happened 26 minutes later on Saturday night at the First Wok Chinese Restaurant located at 3912 E. San Miguel. That's near North Academy Blvd. and Galley Road. There, police say two men walked in and demanded cash. One of the suspects was pointing a gun at his victims. The crooks got away with the entire cash register.

The third robbery happened on Sunday night at the China Buffet located at 628 S. Academy Blvd. just off of Airport Road. There, police say two suspects walked in, one pointing a gun at an employee, and demanded cash. The crooks, once again, took the entire cash register.

Colorado Springs police are still investigating all three robberies.

This is why it's a good idea to get a concealed carry weapons license and exercise your right to carry. A bunch of bad guys are out and about with weapons and if you're carrying, you can at least protect the family and yourself. With the large amount of law abiding citizens carrying in El Paso County, I'm suprised none of these moron thugs have gotten shot by a citizen who felt his life was endangered. But of course its all situational. But once these idiots run into a citizen carrying, maybe the outcome will come out different for the bad guy. My Glock is always on me and ready for self defense if I ever need it.

Colorado Springs has enough law enforcement and have their helicopter as well. The CSPD does a tremendous job on a daily basis for the citizens of the Springs! It's only a matter of time before these thugs are arrested for their crimes. A city the size of Colorado Springs will have all sorts of crimes just like other cities do. The comment made by "unbelievable" is pure politics! You are saying the voters didn't approve a tax hike, therefore we are unsafe? That's ludicrous! The taxpayers saw waste and plainly told the City to manage the money they receive in a more frugal manner! I suggest you learn how to spell "unbelievable" and after that, write a letter to the CSPD thanking them for keeping you safe on a daily basis! Keep up the great work CSPD, this resident has no problem with the job you do!

I know that we need more officers on patrol, I mean look at this. Maybe if we had more on the road, the police could have caught them escaping. I mean come on Colorado Springs, get real.

See, with fewer officers and without a helicopter its open season for roberies. I expect to see even more once the catch on to the fact that they get away with it. they clearly are fearless to keep coming back to the same area and same mo
