75-Year-Old Man Assaulted At Home

A 75-year-old Colorado Springs man is suffering from serious injuries after he was assaulted Wednesday morning.

Police say the victim had just gotten home from running errands when he was hit in the head with a blunt object. The force of impact caused the man to fall backwards on his head.

The incident happened at 11 a.m. on the 1600 block of Kodiak Drive, near Circle and Monterey in southeast Springs.

The victim was rushed to the hospital. His condition Thursday is unknown.

Police have no suspect information available at this time.
