Police want anyone with information about a robbery late Friday night to call CrimeStoppers. A teenager was assaulted and robbed along the 4000 block of Lacy Lane in Colorado Springs. That's near Crestline Dr and Murray Blvd.

Police say the girl, 17, was walking home around 11:00 p.m. and heard someone running toward her. She told police a man put her in a choke hold and demanded money. The two of them struggled and the teen was hurt.

The girl said she gave the man the cash she had in her purse and he ran, jumping into a red mini-van waiting across the street.

The struggle occurred on the side of the street, in plain view, as several cars drove by, so police are asking for help to bring in a suspect.

Police describe him as a black man in his 20's with a mustache. He wore baggy jeans, a dark colored jacket, and gloves at the time of the reported attack.
