Police have captured the man they believe was behind a robbery at a Colorado Springs liquor store. An officer noticed the suspect's vehicle Sunday, after reports of the make and model were released Saturday.

The crime happened Saturday night. A liquor store clerk in Colorado Springs is robbed at gunpoint. The clerk told police, the robber was only interested in stealing liquor.

It happened at around 9:45 p.m. at the Valli Hi Discount Liquor at 441 S Circle Dr.

Officers say the robber did have a handgun and pointed it at the clerk.
The suspect then took liquor from the store and then drove off in his own vehicle. The clerk caught his license plate number, and that proved handy in catching him.

An officer found the suspect car Sunday near Glenn and Uintah St, and took 24-year-old Charles Soberanis into custody.

Soberanis now faces multiple charges.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in the suspect's name?
