35-Year-Old Woman Identified In Car Shooting

We now know the identity of the woman killed over the weekend in Colorado Springs, but cops are still looking for her killers. The victim is being identified as 35-year-old Susana Pelayo Perez.

Perez was shot in the parking lot of the Shannon Glen Apartments on North Murray, just south of Platte early Sunday morning, and later died at the hospital from her wounds.

Perez was sitting in the passenger side of a parked car when she was approached and shot. She doesn't live at the Shannon Glen Apartments, so now police are trying figure out why she was here in the first place.

Those who do live at the complex say it's just another scary situation that happens all too often. "I don't walk alone during the day in this neighborhood," says Kaykay, a resident at Shannon Glen Apartments.

Another resident says she also takes extra precautions while living there. "No I wasn't surprised," says Tina Mitchell, who has lived there for five years. "I lock my door, do everything else, try to stay inside as much as possible," says Mitchell.

Police have made no arrests in this case and need the public's help. They are looking for two white males believed to be in their early 30's. Both are described as bald with a short beard and mustache. Cops say they are driving a red or orange Jeep Cherokee.

If you have seen the suspects or that vehicle, or have any information about this murder, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

Attention to Colorado Springs Authorities. I need those cowards to pay for what they did to this female,it does not matter why him or theykilled her, apply the power of the law on him or on them. There is an evidence that cops knows what's going on in the area. The crime can not rule our cities and our children need to be safe in their environment.Expecting to see that this criminal or criminals are in the place where they need to be,we all know cops represent the lawmake use of that.If the cops that are in the front don't know what to do,they need to leave the department and replace them with the new personal cops that wantes to work protecting our comunities.
