The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in catching a quick-moving jewelry crook in Pueblo.

Authorities say around 11:25 a.m. on July 4, a man entered the Fashion Pot store located at 1401 Santa Fe Drive in Pueblo and asked to see a 10K 24” gold necklace.

As the suspect was trying on the necklace, he turned and ran out of the store. Authorities think the suspect jumped into the passenger side of a dark gray or blue 4-door sedan and fled.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, about 20 years old, having a mustache and goatee. He was wearing long dark colored shorts, black and white plaid shirt, black socks, white tennis shoes and a dark colored baseball hat with a light colored front and an unknown logo. Witness stated the suspect had a heavy Mexican accent but spoke fluent English.

If you have any information on this theft you are urged to immediately call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP (542-7867) or visit their Web site by clicking on the link below. Your information could earn you a cash reward.
