Police say a woman caught on camera snatching another woman's purse right off her chair at a restaurant has been arrested.

39-year-old Pauline Roybal is facing a felony charge following her arrest Friday.

Police say on Monday, April 20 around 7:15 p.m. a couple went to dinner at a north side Pueblo restaurant. At the dinner table, the 67-year-old woman placed her purse on the chair next to her and had even pushed the chair slightly up toward the table.

A short time later, the victim felt a tap on her leg. When she glanced down she immediately noticed her purse had been taken.

Police say this should serve as a caution to all women who carry purses inside a business.

Tips from the Pueblo police:
Police say you should be extremely careful – even if you place your purse on the seat right next to you. It shows you how fast a thief can work. The same information goes for women in grocery stores. Never turn your back on your purse in your shopping cart, not even for a second. It is suggested you hook your purse in the shopping cart with the child safety belt so if a suspect attempts to take your purse they will actually be taking the whole shopping cart with them – giving you time to react.
