Colorado Springs police were called out to Southwest Auto Sales on Platte Place early Sunday morning around 5:30 a.m. Officers found an unconscious man in the parking lot there with a gun shot wound. They were unable to revive him.

Violent Crimes detectives were called out to the car lot at 2444 Platte Place to investigate what police are saying may be 10th homicide this year. They will determine that after the autopsy.

Police say no suspects are in custody at this point. The identity of the man has not been released.

"As far as the neighborhood, it's quiet for the most part. I've been here seven years and there have been three killings," said John Dunfee. He owns Arctic Craft Brewery a few doors down from the crime scene.

If you have any information on this shooting, you are asked to call crime stoppers at 634-STOP.
