It helps solve crimes to keep our community safe. Crime Stoppers, which is in desperate need of money to stay afloat, is celebrating a generous gift. Berwick Electric has donated $10,000 to keep the anonymous tip lines going in the Pikes Peak Region.

Board members of the non-profit say they still need help after losing money in the Colorado Springs city budget cuts.

Colorado Springs police say the organization helps them solve crime. Tipsters can call in anonymously to give cops important information about crimes.

In the past 27 years, anonymous tips have led to 3,500 arrests. Just last year, 82 bad guys were taken off the streets and put behind bars.

The board president says they need $100,000 to survive.

If you want to donate, you'll find a link to Crime Stoppers under the Crime Stoppers page, or you can click on the link below.
