Early Morning Stabbing Leaves One In Hospital

Police in Colorado Springs are investigating a stabbing that happened early Tuesday morning.

Authorities say they were called around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, after a couple found a friend lying bleeding in an apartment parking lot at 2625 E. Wilamette Ave, near S. Circle and Platte Ave.

Police say the victim, a 25-year-old male, was visiting with friends at the apartment complex when he stepped outside to grab something from his car. When he didn't return, his friends came looking for him.

Officials say the victim suffered one stab wound to the upper back. Reportedly, the injury is not life-threatening. Police say they don't have any suspect information or a motive in the crime.
