A late night home invasion leaves one person with minor injuries and three people behind bars Wednesday in Colorado Springs.
Springs police say it happened at an apartment complex at 3971 E. Bijou St. on the east side of the city around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday night.
The victims reported that several males wearing masks entered broke-in, forced them to the ground, and stole various items. One suspect armed himself with a knife and cut the victim on the arm causing minor injury.
The suspects then allegedly used the victim's vehicle as a getaway car.
Officers were able to track down the stolen vehicle on Hollyridge Drive, near Hancock and Chelton. Authorities attempted to stop the car, but the suspects refused to pull over, prompting a car chase. A helicopter aided the police effort.
The suspects then jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Officers set up containment and K-9 responded.
Two of the male suspects, one adult and one juvenile, were quickly captured. A thorough search of the area led to the capture of another suspect, a juvenile female.
The investigation has revealed that an additional male suspect only known as Cody might have escaped as well.
All of the suspects were charged with First Degree Burglary. The juveniles identities are not being released. The adult suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Jon Callaway.
