A robbery investigation led Springs police to a drug bust Thursday night.

Springs police say officers obtained a search warrant for an apartment at 1940 Dortmund Drive on the northeast side of town, near the intersection of Vickers Dr. and N. Academy Blvd.

While executing the warrant, the tenant, 26-year-old Bryan Love, would not let them in to search, so they busted down the door with a ram.

Inside the apartment, officers say they found nearly five ounces of marijuana. Along with drug distribution charges, Love also faces a charge of obstruction.

they oughta spend more time on meth than they do on weed, for starters, since weed is harmless and anyway doesn't this city have a meth problem? this was a waste of time. i would also like to point out to everybody that marijuana is the #1 cash crop in the united states, surpassing corn. so, you know, keep that in mind. too many studies to name have proven that weed is not only harmless, but does have some legitimate medicinal qualities. combine that with the fact that if it were to be legalized it could be taxed and it could be a huge financial boon for the US -- not to mention it would relieve a lot of the strain placed on the prison system by draconian anti-drug laws based on fear and control rather than fact. anybody who says otherwise is misinformed, wildly ignorant of the truth. a little bit of research goes a long way in matters like these. much of the "corrupting" of lives when it comes to weed is due to the fact that it's illegal, not the substance itself. Legalize it!

Good work by the police! Another doper/pusher hopefully off the streets for a long time. I know, I's ONLY marijuana so why are the cops picking on this poor guy?? Don't they have something else to do that's more important?? I can't wait to see if we get comments from the obvious drug users who think getting doped up and corrupting lives is a-ok and busting this jerk is a waste of time. BUT, 'git er done, send 'im away! Hope he has a past drug history and gets a terrific conviction!! Bye, bye. Mr. Love (you just gotta "love" that name, ha, ha.)
