Fountain police are investigating a sexual assault case allegedly involving a 16-year-old boy in a Wal-Mart bathroom.

Police say they are looking for two people, a man and a woman, seen on a surveillance photo in January.

"The man in the photos allegedly touched the 16-year-old inappropriately on the back side and then the front and then invited him into the bathroom," said Sgt. Freeman.

Freeman says the teen was forced into sex.

The man, who they have been searching for since January, is a person of interest and he's still out according to police, perhaps re-offending.

"We've kind of run into a dead end with it," said Sgt. Jess Freeman with the Fountain Police Department.

"It really doesn't matter why he went into the bathroom with him. What happened when they were in the bathroom is illegal," said Sgt. Freeman.

Police say the woman in the surveillance photo probably had no idea what was going on. However, they say the man and woman may be related and police are urging the female to call them immediately.

"I think she would have a lot on her conscience if she didn't come forward, regardless if he's a family member or not. There are young victims out there that are being victimized," said Sgt. Freeman.

The sad part Sgt. Freeman says, is these sort of things happen more than many people think.

Police say the woman in the photo is not in trouble. They just want her to call them at the Fountain Police Station, 719-382-8555.
