A 50-year-old man is behind bars Sunday morning for an alleged mugging.
According to Springs police, Donald Howard and an accomplice attacked a man just before 1 a.m. Sunday on the 3100 block of Boychuck Avenue, near South Academy and Hancock, stealing money and other undisclosed property.
The suspects fled the scene, but police were able to locate Howard shortly after the theft. Howard was found hiding near the victim's stolen items. He was arrested for aggravated robbery and taken to the Criminal Justice Center.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the second suspect are asked to contact police, or call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
