Vandals target the same place more than a handful of times and you, the taxpayer, are paying for the damage.
In the surveillance video, there were two guys walking by a parking garage on South Tejon at 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
They snapped off the entry gate that leads into a parking garage and then they walked over to the exit gate and did it all over again. "It's frustrating," said head of security Rick Leffler.
He said the gates have been vandalized 6 or 7 times since January.
"It's not a public parking lot, it’s a parking lot for employees only,” said Jim Bensberg, an El Paso County Commissioner.
The bad guys manage to always get away, but what they probably don't know is that there’s a camera catching their actions on tape.
It costs $75 to replace each gate, $150 for the two gates. "We're trying to save where we can. We don’t want to pay for the parking garage," said Commissioner Bensberg.
