Man Arrested For Stealing From Multiple Complexes

Police say they have arrested a man for stealing from apartment complexes that he worked for.

Eric Hughes was arrested Monday morning after police spotted his car at the Cedar Creek Club Apartments, a complex on S. Chelton Road near Fountain Boulevard.

CSPD was notified Sunday of several laundromat burglaries in southeastern Colorado Springs apartment complexes. Just after midnight on Monday, officers saw a vehicle fitting the description of the one the suspect was thought to own. A private investigator, hired by the apartment complex to prevent theft, directed the officers to Hughes. Money was found in Hughes' backpack, and he admitted his involvement in multiple burglaries at multiple apartment complexes.

Hughes is facing 10 counts of second degree burglary.

Hey, all of you who think I am insensitive about being a common-sense realist who notices patterns... South Chelton and Fountain, again. Get over it and open up to reality. Common sense mayor debunks everyone in 2012. Nuff said.

Someone kept stealing my PT gear when I lived at Parkmoor Village. And it HAD to be someone with a key b/c the laundromats were under lock and key. Why someone would want an Air Force shirt with refective material is beyond me...
