Thank you 3RD ID. I agree with you. Soldiers are trained to honor and protect. I know a lot of cases where Soldiers have stopped crime and helped out people in need. When my car got a flat a Soldier and a few of his GI buddies pulled over to help me. No one else did. Soldiers do more in a day than most people do in their entire lives.

@Scott Fields...Soldiers learn skills to survive and protect not to do home invasions for the hell of it. a lot of men and women come back with some issues most of the men and women overcome their issues with help and there are some that needs more time and then there is some that do outrageous acts outside of the norm. For the most part as a whole the misconduct of soldiers that returned is very low from the amount of soldiers that went over. The Army has made great strides of helping soldiers and are still improving in areas and could improve in other areas, but for you to sit there and say that the skills that are taught and learn is to do harm to innocent people is wrong. I have not seen a news article in this town talking about soldiers holding up banks or doing home invasions for the hell of it. Don’t stereotype period!!!

This is one reason we have the Second Amendment folks. Arm yourselves and defend yourself, your loved ones and your property from these scumbags. After a half dozen or so of these "home invaders" end up six foot under due to responsible citizen's exercising their Second Amendment right to self-defense, I'd bet the number of home invasions would drop off significantly. If you're expecting the police to help/save you, you're naive. The courts up to and including the Supreme Court of the U.S. have ruled repeatedly that the police have NO DUTY to protect individual citizens. As the saying goes, "when seconds count the police are only minutes away." The police usually arrive in time to draw chalk lines around the victims and clean up the mess. Just sayin'

i moved here to get away from the intense crime that is happening, and i feel its just going to get worse. more and more young men and women coming home from war with skills like home invasions, or bank holdups.also most have some sort of mental issue with no help really coming. its just going to get worse!!

Oh if only they'd break into my house. 200 lbs of dog and two people unloading HP's at them might send a proper message to the criminal morons in this city.

My bestfriends live on Brookside, and I keep trying to get them to move. I get so nervous for them because of that street and that area. :-\ I hope every one is okay and that they catch them!
