Colorado Springs police are looking for a man who robbed a Burger King restaurant at gunpoint.

Officers say it happened on the 2700 block of South Academy near Astrozon a little after 10 p.m. Thursday. The suspect waved a pistol at an employee demanding money. There were customers in the restaurant at the time of the robbery.

After getting cash from the restaurant, the suspect ran away from the scene.

Police say the suspect is described as a white or hispanic man in his 20s.

Anyone with any information that may help police is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867).

I'd like to point out that someone is entering my name and posting as me. At least I know the truth. The latest post at 1:46 PM was not by me.

@Ryan. You should do two things, learn how to spell and learn how to read before you make any comments. Article says a "white or Hispanic man in his 20s." Didn't say a thing about him being black.

Stupid black people. As mayor, I will get rid of black people. Nuff said. Common Sence 2012

No surprise. You know what I want to say but I guess you'll call me a racist. Well, sorry for keeping it real. Nuff said.

Colorado's an open carry state. The police can't protect you, they only clean up the mess.

Skibike4x4 - you are a moron. The City decised to cut the police force if they couldn't extort more money out of it's citizens. If they managed the millions of tax dollars they already have, they wouldn't have to touch the police department.

Laugh-No amount of police are going to stop robberies. They happen. They've always happened and they will continue to happen. There's nothing that can be done about it.

Barnie, looks like the PC police are after YOU! LOL. It's good to have you back! If you do go to KRDO they do say a black man wearing dark clothes. I think the convenience stores, fast food restaurants are going to have to find a way to protect their employees from these kind of things happening. Bullet proof glass, arming them maybe?

LOL. Wow, anyone think Barny works for KRDO? Sounds like something they'd do. Why are you on KKTV.com if you don't like their news?
