Authorities are investigating a shooting in the Cimarron Hills area that left one man injured.
The 18-year-old victim walked into the Cimarron Hills fire station around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Around that same time, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office says they were receiving calls about gunshots heard in the area of Hathaway Drive, near Peterson and Galley.
Investigators believe the victim was involved in some sort of altercation which led to the shooting. They have not released any further information, but say they do not believe there is any threat to the public.
