Only 11 News talked to the woman living in the apartment where two people were shot. One person died, and police are not releasing any information about a suspect.
This happened at the Pine Creek Village Apartments on Chapman Drive. That’s near Academy and Fountain in Colorado Springs.
Marissa Cade told us, she wasn't even home when the shooting happened. On top of that, she doesn't even know the man who was shot to death, or how he got into her apartment.
Colorado Springs Police said at about 1:25 a.m. Saturday, they were called to the apartment complex for a report of gunshots.
They said, when they got there, they found one man dead and a teenage girl shot. She's expected to survive.
"It was just a really devastating story to come back home to someone I don't even know dead in my apartment," Cade said.
Cade lives in the apartment where the two victims were found and said she went grocery shopping around 1 a.m., leaving just her sister, and her sister's friend inside.
"I left my house, it was only her and her friend so, how it happened I don't really know,” Cade said. “I don't know what happened, who they are, I don't know."
Cade told 11 News the teenage girl is her sister's friend and was shot in the arm.
"It's really hard on me and the fact that my little sister had to see something like that. She's only 17-years-old it's really hard; a little 15-year-old or 16-year-old girl got shot. I mean it's sad," Cade said.
