Mercedes-Benz is recalling about 85,000 of its cars.
The cars have been shown to gradually lose their power steering fluid, making them difficult to control. The luxury automaker said in a report that the car's steering system "may fail due to the loss of power steering fluid." If that happens, the company says that drivers have an increased chance of crashing.
The recall involves the 2010 Mercedes C-Class and the 2010 and 2011 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet models.
The company says that owners can return cars to dealers, who will check the power steering systems for free.
