Hooked - (Stacia Naquin)
Updated: 10/11/2013 - I'm SO CLOSE to being able to do a pull-up. So my trainer introduced something new into my training.
Big screen T.V.s are the hot, must have for a home theater. But with so many different types, how do you know which one is right for you?
Consumer Reports T.V. testers sorted them out.
Big Screen T.V.s dominate store displays. Regular T.V.s are nowhere in sight. But with all different kinds, it seems like you need to take "T.V.s 101" before you set foot in a store.
Don't worry Consumer Reports has the big picture on your big screen choices. Who's the best candidate for a plasma T.V.?
"Someone who has limited space and a lot of money should be perfect for a plasma T.V."
That's because plasmas are thin, so thin you can hang them on the wall. But they're expensive a 55 inch set can cost as much as $10 thousand.
If spending that much money is not in the picture, but you'd still like to save some space, consider a microdisplay set. These new rear projection T.V.s aren't quite as thin as a plasma, but they're much smaller than a regular projection set. And you can get 56 inches of viewing on this microdisplay set for the trim down price of 46 hundred dollars.
But consumer reports says... If you have space to spare... A regular rear projection set is the way to go. It's the least expensive way to get into the big screen world.
"They're usually loaded with features. They sound great."
Consumer Reports says this 57 inch Sony costs only 2 thousand dollars. Just think of all the DVDs you can buy with the money you'd save.
Consumer Reports says another plus to regular, rear projections sets, the technology has been around awhile and they've proven to be pretty reliable.
Plasma and microdisplay sets are so new, it's too soon to know how they'll hold up over time.
