The Colorado State Patrol is still investigating a two car accident that happened early this morning on I-25 22 miles north of Trinidad. One person was killed.
State Patrol says a 1996 Ford F-150 driven by 26-year-old Bridget Christian was traveling southbound on the interstate when she spun out of control. Her pick-up collided with a UPS tractor trailer which was parked on the right hand shoulder.
Troopers say Christian was not wearing a seat belt and died as a result of her injuries. The passenger of the Ford pick-up, 21-year-old David Robinson was also not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to Parkview Hospital in Pueblo with serious injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer only received minor injuries.
State Patrol says exceeding a safe speed on icy and snowy roads is the contributing factor to this accident.
