Alamosa Has First Female Mayor
The city of Alamosa swears in the first woman to ever serve as Mayor. Kathy Rogers was elected during elections earlier this month.

Alamosa has sworn in its first female mayor. Kathy Rogers took office Wednesday night.
She replaces former Mayor Farris Bervig, who retired after 24 years of service. Rogers was mayor pro tem before winning the open seat in municipal elections earlier this month.
Her first council meeting included zoning questions, employee pay plans and discussion of new sun shelters over city-owned picnic tables.
