I don't even know where to begin! All you do is try and blame this on the truck driver! They already ruled that it WAS NOT his fault!! And when you say "several truckers" this did NOT include this truck driver, this one cried. He is going to have to live with this the rest of his life. And he was not speeding, and he was paying attention why do you think he hit his J brake and brakes and they have the black marks for 100 meters? He did everything he could! And like I say they have ruled that it WAS NOT his fault! He is not happy about this or ANYTHING he has a daughter about their age and two others at home who has to read all this that you are saying about their dad who did not mean for this happen and everything you are saying about their dad and it is not true! That is a dangerous road anyways. My condolences to the family who lost their children.

It appears that James,Fred and Dixie are very unknowledgeable about the trucking industry and the accident. Passing judgement on one driver for the faults of a minority of the industry is very biased and unfair to anyone involved. I challenge these people to stop a car at speed limit with such short notice let alone a semi truck. This is a tragedy from all aspects. There is a family that lost their childen and a driver that has to live with this accident that he had no control of and could not avoid. A slight amount of inattention for some unknown reason led to this. It is something that all involved with will have to deal with for the rest of their lives. Please make sure you have more facts of the situation before posting such inflammitory comments. My prayers go out to all of the parties involved.

However, the truck driver involved did not laugh and say that...so maybe you all should realize that his life has been affected as well. He takes his job very seriously, and maybe if you would have been there to see him jump in and help the rescuers maybe you would reconsider. How much more careful do you want him to be? He wasn't speeding and he tried everything to get out of the way. Have you ever sped on your way to work? If so, you are way worse than THIS truck driver! SHUT YOUR MOUTHS!

James and Fred are correct! I know several truckers, one of them was actually laughing about this accident! He said "dumb little girls need to stay off the road when men are working" then chuckled. I think they could be much more careful!

Fred, you are arrogant and should not have been allowed to post on this site. People like you breed hate and distrust. You have absolutely no heart! God bless all those involved, what a horrible accident.

What I do know, Ann, is how these truck drivers think they are invincible and hog the road, speeding, whipping in between cars, coming up fast on little cars, and driving sleep deprived so they can get their load finished, I'm sure the parents of these two young girls who haven't or never will have the chance to be an "elder" of anything wish he had died, too. If he was paying attention, they would not be dead now would they ?

Lowlife meth head? The truck driver does not drink or do drugs, has an education, he has a family, and was elder in his church. Where in the article does it say he is a meth head? Where does it say he has a 9th grade education? Oh, that's right, it doesn't and you apparently don't know him. Let me tell you something, he feels awful about this, and would prefer that he had died versus these poor girls. He did everything he could, it was a tragic accident. The driver was also drug tested on the spot, but I guess you didn't know that or don't care because you would rather spend your time blaming this on someone you don't know and for something you apparently know nothing about. Oh, and did I mention, he also wasn't speeding, that his log book was up-to par? Hmm, think a little bit before you start spouting at the mouth about something you know nothing about!

what do you expect of the media. they're always getting it wronggggggggg. And when you watch the local news on tv, how many of them and all the time can they talk correctly with their tongues going as fast as they can. Spit it out, say it right get it right. And a few just look pathetic and somber, like they should be in another business. KKTV,,,,,,,,,,you need to do a beeter job of who you hire to do the NEWS!

This is great, little did these young ladies know, when they went out for a drive, they were going to be smoked by a meth head with a 9th grade education!

Both girls have died, and they were the only children of the parents. It is such a tragedy. I will pray for the family and for the truck driver, as I cannot even imagine the pain he is feeling right now.

It's a shame that the media does not review its material before it is released. These are mistakes that are easily fixed. I see this a lot in online and newspaper articles. I agree with calo; mistakes like these can only cause more grief for those close to the victims. My condolences.

The title of this story is misleading. It says both girls died. But the story says one died and the other is in serious condition. When you are reporting the death of this girl, you need to get it right so you don't cause more grief. My condolences to the poor family.
