The State Patrol is investigating an accident on Interstate 70 that claimed the life of a woman who was seven months pregnant.

The driver of a sport-utility vehicle lost control on the snowpacked highway Tuesday and plunged more than 300 feet off the road.

The patrol said Analisette Sapien of Frisco was a passenger in the SUV and was not wearing a seat belt. Her fetus was also killed.

Another passenger suffered serious injuries and the driver, 28-year-old Jose Bucio, suffered moderate injuries. Both were wearing seat belts and both are from Frisco.

The patrol said neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to be a factor.
