Hillary Rodham Clinton is asking West Virginia Democrats to help her sustain her presidential hopes.

Clinton is making four campaign stops in the state Monday. She's looking for a big victory in Tuesday's primary to slow the drift of Democratic superdelegates to rival Barack Obama's camp.

Speaking at Tudor's Biscuit World in Charleston, Clinton emphasized the state's importance, saying that since 1916, no Democrat has won the White House without winning West Virginia.

Clinton also spent Mother's Day in the state, while Obama rested. She reminded voters of women who didn't give up in tough situations when others told them to quit. Quoting Eleanor Roosevelt, she told supporters: "A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she is in hot water."
