Wesley Snipes' sentencing hearing has been under way for hours. His attorneys are arguing in a central Florida court for a limited sentence.
The actor was found guilty in February of failing to file taxes for three years. The government said he owed $2.7 million. The federal charges could bring him fines and prison time.
But Snipes' attorneys said in court that his tax liability was only 228 thousand dollars.
Even if the judge buys their argument, sentencing enhancements put Snipes within range of the three-year prison term prosecutors want.
