Former AFA Football Player Accused Of Sexual Assault

An Air Force cadet accused of sexual assault will be in a hearing Thursday.

A judge is expected to decide if former AFA football player Jamil Cooks will be court-martialed.

Cooks is accused of entering the rooms of two female cadets, and is charged with several sexual crimes. After the charges were filed, Cooks was kicked off the Academy football team.

According to the AFA, the charges were filed on Sept. 18, 2012. Charge 1 has one specification of violating Article 80 for attempted sodomy. Charge 2 has three specifications of violating Article 120, one for aggravated sexual assault and two for aggravated sexual contact.
