ThunderWolves rebound nicely in win over Western State

Posted: 7:55 PM Jan 12, 2013

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 12, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo secured a win in dominant fashion Saturday night, building a 30-point lead as early as the first half as it rolled to a 71-48 win over Western State.
The Pack began the game by jumping out to an 11-0 advantage then stretching it even further to a 19-2 lead just six minutes into the game. The Pack would get to 30 before Western State even eclipsed double-figures and by halftime, the ThunderWolves were up 48-18.
In short, Western State never had a chance.
Though the hot Pack cooled considerably in the second half and Western State outscored the ThunderWolves in the second half, the damage was certainly done as every active player on the roster got considerable floor time, helping the bench to score 33 of the team's 71 points.
Taylor Fox (Jr., Santa Cruz, Calif.) led the Pack with 12 points while three others scored in double figures.
CSU-Pueblo, now 10-3 overall and 7-2 in RMAC play, will begin a four-game road trip, starting at Colorado Christian next Friday.
