Local authorities are searching for a fugitive after receiving a tip that he'd been seen at a home in Security-Widefield.

Teddy Turney has been on the run after authorities say he failed to check in with his parole officer. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

A SWAT team secured the area around Highway 85/87 and Academy Thursday afternoon after parole officers got a tip that Turney had been seen at a home on Cortez Drive.

Turney is on parole for criminal impersonation, burglary, trespassing and possession in El Paso County. The Department of Corrections says anyone who bails on their parole is considered a danger to the community.

They ask if you see him, to call police or the El Paso County Sheriff's Office right away.
