Colorado Springs Water Main Breaks Slow Traffic

A water main break at the intersection of East Cheyenne Road and Richards Avenue is slowing traffic, as water covering the road has turned to ice. The break was reported around 5:30am Wednesday. Utility crews are making repairs, and hope to have them completed by Wednesday afternoon.

A second water main break had forced traffic down to one lane on Union Boulevard, just south of Constitution Avenue in Colorado Springs. Springs Utilities tells 11 News that Union will not be closed for repairs today becuase no customers are being impacted by the break.

Utility crews are also on the scene of a water main break at the intersection of Circle Drive and Monterrey Road. There is no word on when it will be repaired or how many customers are affected.
