ATV Stolen Out Of Front Yard
Posted: 9:02 PM Dec 6, 2012
Reporter: KKTV
A Colorado Springs man is frustrated after crooks steal his ATV out of his front yard.
It happened in broad daylight, on the east side of town near Constitution and Peterson.
Matthew Smith was selling his brand-new ATV. He had it chained up in his front yard with a "for sale" sign on it.
He was just getting home from a trip Wednesday afternoon when he noticed it was gone.
He says someone cut through the chain, and then must have loaded it onto a truck or flatbed.
Smith says the ATV is worth about $11,000. He was selling it to help pay for school.
"That's what I was banking on to pay for college, and get me started in getting my degree," said Smith.
The ATV is bright orange, with a plow attached to the front.
Smith is offering a reward for anyone with information that could help him track it down.
