Convenience Store Robbed Second Time In Week

Fountain police are investigating a reported robbery at a Loaf 'N Jug at 7055 Alegre St.

The robbery happened around 9 p.m. Thursday. The store is the same one that was robbed exactly a week ago.

Investigators tell us a man wearing dark clothes walked into the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded money. He then took off on foot.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Police say the suspect only got away with a small amount of cash because the clerk had just cleared the register and put it into a safe.

The suspect is described as a thinner black male about 5-foot-6. He was wearing a dark hoodie, jeans, and dark sunglasses.

Detectives are investigating to find out if the robbery exactly one week ago, around the same time, is connected with this robbery.

They are reviewing surveillance video.
