Springs Transmissions To Remain Closed Pending Trial

Reporter: Betty Sexton

Thursday, a district court judge ruled that Springs Transmission and Automotive owner Greg Ehnes must keep his shop closed while his trial is pending.

Last week we told you Colorado Attorney General John Suthers was granted a temporary restraining order against the repair shop.

Suthers took action against Ehnes after 11 Call for Action notified his office about consumer complaints.

The Colorado attorney general alleges that Ehnes violated the Consumer Protection Act by claiming he had an A+ rating when he had an F rating with the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado. He also alleges that Ehnes ordered employees to take short cuts on customers' vehicles, often causing more damage to them.

You may recall similar allegations have been raised by consumers who came to 11 Call for Action for help.

If you believe you've been victimized by Springs Transmissions and Automotive you can contact the Colorado Attorney General hotline at 1-800-222-4444 or go online and file a complaint.
