Man Assaulted Near Springs Park

Springs police are looking for two men who assaulted another man near the bath house at Memorial Park.

The man was attacked at about 7:30 Monday evening.

The victim told police the men came up to him, and one of the men hit him on the head with a gun.

The gun went off, and the suspect dropped the firearm. The men ran off, but came back for the gun they'd left behind.

Officers searched the area, and found a spent shell casing.

The victim was taken to a hospital. Late Monday he was being treated for a non-life threatening cut on his head.
